Adam Finnieston, CPO, LPO is the Chief Prosthetist and Owner of Prosthetic Orthotic Designs, Inc., located in Miami, Florida.
With over 15 years’ experience in the field of prosthetics and orthotics, Adam is up to date with the newest and most technologically advanced prosthetics and orthotics. He has had the privilege of working with some of the most active and athletic amputees in the world.
Adam received his prosthetic and orthotic education at Northwestern University. He is licensed and certified by the State of Florida and the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics. He has received certification and training from multiple companies such as Otto Bock, iLimb, Ossur and BIOM in providing the most advanced computerized technology for amputees. He also is actively participating in research studies in conjunction with the University of Miami and Ossur to research new technologies for prosthetic feet.
For Adam, it is equally important to give back to the community. He partnered directly with Project Medishare in order to provide immediate relief as well as long-term care for victims of the 2010 Haiti Earthquake. Adam assisted in setting up a permanent prosthetic facility in Port-au-Prince staffed by Haitians to assist with long-term care of the amputee community. In recognition of his efforts to help the Haitian people, Adam, physical therapist Bob Gailey and members of the Haitian amputee soccer league Zayren were invited to meet Pope Francis in January of 2015.
